Ouch!!!

This is what we found when we went to the Marina on Father's Day. It seems there had been a storm ten days prior and one of the other docks broke loose and managed to smash into the back our boat. It is so funny to me that the Marina manager said he did not know that our boat had been damaged. And that is why no one bothered to call and tell us. But we were told by other boaters that they all saw the damage. And one of his employees said that he was the one who lifted our motor out of the water where it was just hanging by the electric and fule lines and put it in the boat. Oh well. You can imagine Mike's dissappointment. But our insurance company is covering the damage, (less the deductible) and it is already at the repair shop. We have no idea how long all this will take. Poor Obiwanders, Mas.

I remember you as being a sweet friendly little boy. And the man you have grown into is fantastic. I know my brother was very proud of you, and so are we.

Here are a few more pictures taken that same day as the one in the Father's day blog. Chris was not sure that was he in the baby back pack. But as you can see, there is Mikey with dad and Chris. Dad looked young because he was still only 25 at that time.

Not only did this June bring another birthday for Chris, but he also earned his masters degree from the U of Washington. That makes him an UW2 alumni, as his bachelors degree is from U of Wisconsin. So here is Chris on his first day of school and he last. (for now) He hasn't changed too much. Have a great day son, we are proud of you.

While I was in Arizona in May I missed a very important birthday. I am so sorry! So I am wishing our Mandy Lou a very merry birthday + 1 month!!

I hope you had a good birthday. You were always a girl with a lot of spirit. I hope you have the best year ever. As pictured here, stay in the drivers seat and always keep 'm guessing.

You haven't aged a bit. We all love and and hope you have the best birthday ever!!

On the way back from Arizona, we took a short vacation and did some old fashioned camping. Well, not exactly 'old fashioned', these days we camp with a TV, gas stove, heat and airconditioning. But is was really great to be back in the National Park System. This is a beautiful country.

Just a few pictures of the campsite. The deer was a frequent visitor to the campground. We saw her every morning and evening while camping.

Here are a few pictures from a hike and boat tour in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, Colorado. We had to hike down 332 steps and then another 3/4 mile to the boat dock. But it was worth it. Beautiful!!

I love this picture. We were all at the Tulip Festival and went into town for dinner and a bit of shopping. The guys were so good. As you can see they have the babies, and the ladies are all off enjoying the time in the shops.

Where to start? After 2 months away from my own house and with my grandbabies, I dont know what to show first. So I guess I will start with sweet Madeleine. Here are a few of my photos of our time together.
